Drive on-time development and deployment of all software requirements and processing pertaining to select modules in the core Insurance software (ULIP/Reinsurance/Valuation Modules) as well as in the transformation program of the core policy administration system, act as a technical spoc for ULIP/Reinsurance/Valuation Modules - understanding requirements, prioritizing, coordinating with other IT teams to resolve issues and manage system vulnerability across modules in the core as well as peripheral systems.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Developer
Receive all requirement documentation pertaining to new functionalities/ upgrades (such as BRD, Test cases, BA document, Validation document etc.) from the functional owner and Business Analyst
Ensure estimation of effort and finalization of DOD (Date of Delivery)
Ensure development, unit testing and code review is done, within decided timelines, managing timeline and quality escalations if any.
Ensure Unit testing is done for all changes and artefacts are shared with testing team
Coordinate with testing team to ensure all tests are completed, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving dedicated team of functional users and Smoke testing
Ensure completion of development and testing, and obtain approvals as required, before release for deployment
Ensure quality and integrity of code is maintained.
Train other resources for development and monitor their progress
Ensure assigned production issues are handled within TAT
Ensure RCA is worked out for recurring/major issues and long term solution is worked out and implemented in consultation with team lead
Evaluate impact of the current changes on other functionalities of the current module and impact on other modules and ensure this is managed before releasing code for testing
2. Technical Spoc for ULIP/Reinsurance/Valuation Process
Attend calendarized monthly meetings with the technical module leads to understand the new requirement system-related issues pertaining to different functionalities/ modules
Establish priority tickets out of all requirements/ issues discussed, document the minutes of the meetings and maintain a tracker for resolution of all issues and monitor closure of all tickets
Coordinate with other teams within IT- such as Business Analysts and relevant PMs to ensure that the issues are attended to and driven to closure
3. Vulnerability management
Ensure tasks identified basis weekly reviews for vulnerability management are handled promptly
Ensure correction of vulnerabilities within stipulated timelines, monitoring progress regularly and publishing tracker to reporting manager
4. Stakeholder Management / Operational reviews
Engage with and conduct periodic reviews with own team(if any) and team lead, to support in development of projects and resolve any issue faced in driving the projects
